Digoin & surroundings

Digoin is a town that can only be reached by crossing a bridge! Indeed, Digoin or "Ile Charolaise", is an island, located on the central Europe Atlantic road. In addition to being located on the banks of the Loire river, Digoin is at the confluence of 4 rivers (the Loire, the Arroux, the Bourbince, the Arconce and the Vouzance) and 3 canals: the Canal du Centre joining Chalon, the Canal latéral à la Loire going up towards Briare, and the Canal de Digoin à Roanne).

With 100 km of banks, it is a paradise for fishermen and hikers. The "voie verte" (cycle route), which follows the Canal du Centre for 17 km, offers cycling enthusiasts all the rich and varied natural landscapes of the Charolais region. Our hotel has been awarded the "Accueil Vélo" label.

For lovers of good wines and beautiful stones, don't forget to download the Route 71 mobile application, which lists all the points of interest in Saône et Loire, and of which the Merle Blanc hotel is an ambassador.
